| While on holiday in the USA in 2003, My wife & i were invited to look around the F16 of the Illinois Air National Guard at Capitol Airport in Springfield.
We were shown around by our good friend Rick Shanner who is a Tech in the Engine workshop on the base. Rick has kindly given me permission to publish these photo's. First 14 photo's were taken with Fujifilm Finepix 6800Zoom. I again Visited the 183rd Illinois ANG on June 5th 2007. I wasn't allowed to see in the cockpit this time so unable to update the Cockpit photo's. Rick Shanner again was our host & took us out to the flight line where 6 F16's returned from a sortie, also we were shown around the "Hush House" where they do the ground engine run up's. These new photo's are at the bottom of the collection & were taken using the Sony A100. |
